Consequently, he has urged the BMKG to extend cloud-seeding efforts to neighboring buffer zones rather than focusing solely on Jakarta’s airspace.

Currently, Jakarta is concentrating on its own territory, while the BMKG handles the surrounding regions," he stated, at the Pullman Hotel, West Jakarta, Thursday (1/22).
He explained that intensive monitoring of rainfall patterns has been ongoing since dawn. In collaboration with the Central Government and BMKG, the Jakarta administration has conducted two cloud-seeding sessions.
This effort is expected to dampen the intensity of heavy rain forecast to last for eight hours.
"Without this intervention, the rain would have certainly persisted, but we have been executing weather modification since 7:30 AM," he said.
